Best Budget Makeup at Ulta: Under $10

Hi everyone, I know what you’re thinking: good makeup under $10 exists? Yes, great makeup that also doesn’t break the bank exists! Let’s get started:

FACE

e.l.f. Cosmetics Loose Face Powder: This is a superb dupe for the RCMA Transclucent powder at half the price. It doesn’t flash back on camera and helps makeup stay all day. Highly recommend.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Powder Blush Palette: This palette comes with 4 different blush shades which complements many different skin tones. I even have this in my professional kit for occasional use! The color payoff is great and the product not too powdery.

Covergirl Contour and Correct Expert: This definitely falls under one of my favourite drug store products simply due to its shade range in one palette. This is excellent for a beginner makeup artist looking to add range and variety to their kit, or a makeup enthusiast looking for several shades in one place.

NYX HD Studio Concealer: At only $5, this concealer is a dupe for NARS Creamy Concealer. It lasts all day and doesn’t wear off through sweat, water, any of it. NYX has become a fantastic brand in recent years and this concealer definitely is my favourite product of theirs!

NYX Color Correcting Palette: Creamy, pigmented, and smooth, this color correcting palette really delivers what it promises to do. This palette helps me use less foundation and still get fantastic results. This also covers all skin tones.

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso: This fan favourite is a dupe for NARS Orgasm blush. Peachy pink, slightly shimmery, and shows up on all skin tones. A winner for sure!

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation: Also available in a dewy formulation, this foundation covers blemishes and controls oil all day. It helps create the smooth base needed to have a flawless look without sacrificing the look of great skin.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer: This fills in pores, smooths out texture, and acts as a glue for your makeup to stay all day. I love this primer not only because of its great price (not even $5!), but also because it does what it promises and can be found everywhere in case of primer emergency.

Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream For Oily Skin: I myself have oily skin, and this is the best BB cream I’ve ever used! It does control shine and oil a great amount, and runs a bit pink, but overall it provides wonderful coverage without feeling heavy.

Maybelline Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter: Shine baby shine! This highlighter will blind you in the right light which is the trend right now. It doesn’t look powdery and melts right into the skin. It even avoids enhancing texture too much!

Coty Airspun Face Powder: This one is a classic, and although it smells like your grandma’s house, it’s wonderful for setting your makeup in place for all day wear. Best used for oily skin!

Milani Make It Last Setting Spray: Ah yes, setting spray. I love setting sprays because you can still set your makeup to last without using much powder if you so choose. This one helps melt makeup together for a flawless finish without breaking down the product.

EYES

e.l.f. Cosmetics Clay Eyeshadow Palette in Necessary Nudes: I love me a good nude palette, and this one takes the cake. Small and versatile, this palette is great for those who love swiping on shadow and getting on with their day. It can easily be taken from a light airy look to a dark dramatic smokey eye in a few minutes, and I love it for that.

essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara: Most cheap mascaras tend to stay wet for too long, and this one breaks away from that mold. It dries down quick to hold your curl and never flakes. I use it in my kit due to its great price point and durability. It even lasts through a good cry sesh!

NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette: For bright shadow lovers, this one contains the rainbow for all your most colorful looks. It’s not too powdery and has great color payoff. It’s usually over $10 but it’s on sale right now so I decided to add it in for this post!

Covergirl LashBlast Volume Mascara: Oh yes, THAT little orange tube. This mascara is everywhere, and for good reason. It really is that good. My only complaint is the smell but if you can get past that, your lashes are sure to thank you.

BROWS

e.l.f. Cosmetics Clear Lash and Brow Gel: This gel is everything! I use it mainly for brow gel on myself and clients, but it also works well as a men’s mascara and a highlighter in a pinch!

NYX Precision Brow Pencil: I like brows with fluff, and this pencil is perfect for creating little hair strokes and building up the brow for a natural look.

LIPS

wet n wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Lipstick: I love to give these to my brides on their wedding day for touch ups! Rebel Rose is the most popular shade and for good reason as a true neutral rosy color. This lipstick is mostly food proof and definitely kiss proof. It feels great on the lips and delivers beautiful color.

Revlon Kiss Lip Balm: For more natural folks, this tinted lip balm is perfect for the grab n go beauty style. Pair with a swipe of mascara and you’re ready for the day!

And here’s my finished look! I apologize for the low quality as my camera cracked right down the middle. Stay tuned for next week’s post.
