My current skincare routine

Today I’m going to share my skincare routine with y’all! I’ve slowly built up the amount of products I use daily, but right now my daily product count is 12. Click on each product name for a link to purchase!

Andalou Brightening Cleanser- Made for normal/combination skin, this cleanser both controls oil and hydrates dry skin. It’s made of fruit stem cell complex, vitamin C, and manuka honey, and has done a fantastic job of clearing up my hyper pigmentation! I’ve never had dry skin while using this and plan to try other products by this brand in the future.

Thayer’s Witch Hazel with Rosewater– Toner is important for prepping and balancing the skin’s pH after cleansing, and this toner is the best one I’ve ever used. This toner is made with witch hazel, rosewater, and aloe vera to balance, prevent acne, reduce redness, and soften the skin.

Valjean Labs REVIVE Day Serum– This serum is made with Vitamin C and peptides which help nourish and hydrate the skin, along with fading dark marks on the skin. This combined with the Thayer’s toner has been a God send of a combination, clearing up a lot of texture underneath my skin and killing bacteria on top of the skin that cause acne conditions.

Cerave Eye Repair Cream– This eye cream is thick and moisturizing, and does exactly what it promises to do: repair and lessen dark circles. Hyaluronic acid helps promote water absorption and retention, and can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, making it the ultimate hydration powerhouse. I generally use this eye cream at night since it’s so thick and slowly works its magic overnight.

Elizabeth Arden Good Morning Eye Cream– Another favorite eye cream of mine, the Good Morning eye cream provides quick hydration and depuffing properties first thing in the morning. It seems to reflect light and minimize the appearance of dark circles. I also use this on clients and so far have never had a reaction. I plan to keep this product stocked as long as it’s being made!

No. 7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream– As all oily skinned folks know, finding a cream or moisturizer that doesn’t increase oiliness or shine is tough. This cream is my Holy Grail of moisturizers as it makes my skin look instantly good, and never makes my skin feel greasy. It also makes for an excellent makeup base and acts just as well as primer.

Pond’s Cold Cream– I use this to both take off my makeup and also as a thick cream when my skin needs some extra love during winter nights. Also excellent as day cream for dry skinned babes, I highly recommend this product to anyone who will listen!

The Ordinary Retinol 2%– Retinol is one of the many secrets to aging that almost anyone can use. It helps reverse signs of aging, prevent new ones, fade hyper pigmention, and help with moisturization. This has been my favorite one because of the price, and also because it hasn’t irritated my somewhat sensitive skin at all. Everyone should use a retinol if they can!

Acure Brightening Night Cream– Highly hydrating and never greasy, this night cream absorbs quickly and smells nice too! I plan on repurchasing this because at $18, this is one of the more affordable natural night creams on the market.

Neutrogena Hydroboost Sunscreen– Another win for oily folks! SPF is essential to preventing premature aging. I don’t know about you, but I’d like to age as well and as naturally as possible, and if I can do that by just putting on sunscreen every day…well, I’m going to take that easy route. I honestly have always hated sunscreens because of the smell, the greasy feel, the white cast it leaves, but this one has none of those things. I plan on using this one as long as they make it!

Desert Essence Moringa, Jojoba, and Rosehip Oil– Okay, I know I said my skin is combination oily, and now I’m telling you I’m putting oil on my skin?! Believe it or not, putting oils on oily skin helps reduce the oil. Oil attracts oil and by giving your skin what it wants, it cuts back on the amount of oil it produces. I’ve accepted my forehead will always be oily, but ever since I started using this oil, that area hasn’t been quite as oily! It’s a win win for me.
